I bought this not quite knowing what to expect, having been
previously unfamiliar with Stavia's work. It is though, quite honestly, an
amazing album. Hauntingly melodic and ethereally evocative , it should
instantly resonant with anyone who has ever lived and loved. In fact, if you
don't adore these songs, you probably have led a life not really worth leading.
Imagine a mix of Janis Ian, Carly Simon, Liza Minnelli and
a bit of Nico (along with some Kings of Convenience) all in one. But then
again, don't bother trying to imagine what this is like, beacause you can't.
It's almost unimagineably wonderful .
If you have ever been sad and confused, blue and bruised, falling
in love or falling out of love, then these songs help make sense of it
all....make it not just bearable but also somehow beautiful.
Be prepared for these numbers to pop up in your head time
after time...after time. They are so addictive they should be available as an
injection.
SO....buy it now and mainline some meaning into your life.
